Cottonwood Technology Fund never signs an NDA. Cottonwood reviews over 800 pitch decks per year. If the NDA period is three or five years, we must track thousands of NDA agreements. We are unwilling to pay the legal fees to review all those agreements. It’s very time-consuming, and we like to spend our time on the startups we invest in. If it’s your first contact with Cottonwood Technology Fund, an option is to send us first a non-confidential deck so we can check if there is a match anyway. And some entrepreneurs forget that patents are already protected, so there are no secrets there.
Below are the best external articles that reflect our position and opinion. Please read them carefully and contact us if you want to continue the discussion without an NDA.
